Lagonoy PNP intercepted 3 illegal loggers in early dawn operation








Lagonoy, Camarines Sur --- Lagonoy Police Station, under the direct supervision of Police Chief Inspector Rolito Ulvida Orosco, Office in Charge, arrested three (3) illegal loggers in their town’s campaign against illegal logging. The team of PO3 Arturo M. Amata, while conducting mobile patrol, in the early dawn of January 27, 2015, at about 3:45 AM, within their area of jurisdiction, were able to intercept a pedicab in Brgy. San Rafael, of this town, loaded with nine (9) pcs. of good lumber, cut in different sizes with estimated market value of more or less Php 4, 500, with driver identified as Mark Aljon Guinto y Garrado, 22 yrs old, married, of Brgy. Sta. Maria with companion Ruel Saboco y Cervantes, 23 yrs old, married, of Brgy. Binanuahan, both of this town. Meanwhile, at about 4:00 AM of same date, same team made another apprehension in Brgy. Dahat, of this town, when they were able to intercept ten (10) sacks of wood charcoals and a processed lumber with an estimated market value of more or less P 2,000.00, loaded on an unregistered top down motorcycle, and being driven by John Harold Caraga y Bolante, 21 yrs old, married without driver’s license, of Brgy. Himagtocon, also of this town. All confiscated lumbers, pedicab, wood charcoals, the top down motorcycle and the arrested persons are in the custody of Lagonoy PS for filing appropriate charges of Violation of PD 705 705 "Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines."
